Now that September is here, I can officially start to get excited about fall. The heat and humidity can feel never-ending in Charleston in the July and August months. While September is still warm for us, it’s the time of year when we can usually start to sense a change in the seasons. During this transitional period, I’m reaching for pieces that are easy to stay cool in, but with a color palette of neutrals that are more reflective of the season.
One piece in particular that I recently purchased is this La Ligne t-shirt dress. Don’t let the word ‘t-shirt’ throw you off – the quality and heaviness of the material makes this feel much more elevated than your typical t-shirt dress. This dress was a little bit of a splurge but as soon as it arrived I had no regrets on purchasing it. It’s so comfortable and can really can be worn day to evening, depending on your plans. A true closet staple!
One of my best purchases from last year was this Ann Mashburn leather bucket bag. I would purchase this bag in every color, if I could.
On another note, one other thing I am excited about with the new month is getting some of my fall decorations up! I purchased this wreath and am counting down the days until it’s acceptable to put it up. 🙂
Have a great Labor Day weekend,
