It’s been way too long since I’ve posted on my blog! I really love sharing my outfits in this format since I can go into much greater detail and thought than when I share to my Instagram feed or stories. This cozy fall outfit felt very worthy of a full-on blog post being that it’s a very easy and comfortable outfit to style and wear for the cooler months. Plus, the pieces are all well-priced considering the quality, and, they are all from the same brand! Also, I just reallyyy love it! Read on to learn more about why…

I was kindly sent the J. Jill fall catalog and offered a few pieces to style, and I jumped at the opportunity after browsing through their new collection. This was my first time wearing the brand, but now that I’ve been introduced, I will definitely be returning for classic, sophisticated pieces! Let’s dive a bit deeper into each piece and why they will be staples in my fall wardrobe…

Leopard Cocoon Coat
This was the first piece that caught my eye and the one that I based the entire outfit on. It’s the perfect statement coat in a cozy, cocoon silhouette that feels chic and on-trend for the season, worn over an otherwise simple outfit. I love that the muted green leopard print isn’t over-the-top like some leopard prints can feel. *I should note that each piece I’m wearing is an XS. The J. Jill team mentioned that their sizing runs large and recommended sizing down, and they were correct – the smaller size fit perfectly (I am normally a size Small or 2/4, if that helps!).

Ponte Slim-Leg Pants
If you’re looking for flattering pants that feel like leggings but look like trousers, look no further. J. Jill’s Ponte Welt-Pockets Slim Leg Pants are made from a thick ponte material which feels like you’re wearing leggings but have the look of sleek pants. Slimming, flattering, and the perfect length to show off a heel or even a ballet flat, these are the pants that I truly want to own in every color. At under $100, I wouldn’t feel guilty for grabbing another pair! I also noticed J. Jill has a wide offering of pant styles that I’m eager to dive deeper into. *Again, wearing an XS here.

Luxe Supima Shirred Turtleneck
I’m really having a turtleneck moment. After resisting them for years (not sure why), I’m finally converting into a turtleneck lover. However, I don’t love just any turtleneck – my primary requirement is that they are flattering (not oversized) and made of a comfortable material (not wool). The Luxe Supima Turtleneck I’m wearing under the coat is made from a cotton/tencel blend and just may be the most comfortable top I have in my closet! It’s the ideal piece for layering under a coat and for tucking into jeans or pants. I want the oatmeal heather color next. Lastly, the price point is great at under $70. *Wearing a size XS and it fits perfectly.

FRANKIE4 Coco Chocolate Brown Leather Heels
If I had to choose a favorite piece from the outfit, it would be this pair of buttery-soft leather heels in the prettiest shade of chocolate brown. It’s the shoe my closet was missing and now I can’t believe I have lived without all of these years. I really love a kitten heel, and overall the shape of the shoe is very flattering and leg-lengthening. Most importantly, they meet my very high standards of comfort for heels. I will not wear an uncomfortable shoe (no matter how cute), and I can’t wait to wear these again! That says a lot. 🙂 *I took my normal size 8.5 in these.

Chocolate Suede Messenger Bag
What’s an outfit without a great bag to match? I really ran with the combination of black and brown with this look, pulling from the leopard print colors in the coat, and this bag felt like the icing on the cake for this look. It comes in both chocolate brown and a a pretty green (similar to the color in the coat). You can’t go wrong with a suede bag for fall, and this messenger style is great for moms on the go (or really anyone who wants to be hands-free!). The price point is under $120 and I love this size for daytime.
