Beach days are upon us! We’re so lucky in Charleston to really be able to visit the beach any time of year, but when spring rolls around, true beach days – the kind where you can stay from morning to late afternoon – are our favorite. We love to pack lunch and a few beach reads, and head to the beach with Beau.
A beach day requires a few essentials, such as a towel, a coverup, sunscreen (of course), a hat, something to read, and a large tote to put it all in!
One of my favorite brands, Weezie Towels, just launched a new collection of colorful beach towels. I just ordered this blue and white striped one, which can be personalized with your name or initials!
A hat or visor is a must at the beach! I’ve grown to love wearing hats to the beach, especially when they are colorful, like this one from Sunshine Tienda Shop! They have the best selection, with so many fun colors and patterns offered.
Sunshine Tienda also has the cutest coverups! I’m wearing their Garden Island Sarong over my swimsuit. Here are a few other favorites:
My swimsuit is from Lainsnow, and it is a new favorite! Such a flattering cut in a great fabric. Her pieces sell out really quickly, but watch for restocks!
Now for beach reads… I need some new recommendations, as I’m pretty sure I’ve read almost every Elin Hilderbrand book out there (my favorites!). I’d love to hear your recommendations in the comments below!
