I am so excited to share a few recent updates I made to my home office space! My home office is located on the second floor of our home in our bright, sunny loft. It is a space that instantly puts a smile on my face each time I walk by it! A couple of years ago, I shared lots of details on this room in another blog post, however, early this year I had the itch to make a couple of updates, which I’m sharing in the photos below.
Having a place to work in that brings you joy is so important, in my opinion! I know that many of you are now working from home since the changes that came with the pandemic, so I’m hoping this post brings you some inspiration for your home office space.
The new addition I was most excited about is my new office chair. I have had my eye on this one from Serena and Lily for years, and it is just as stunning in person as it is online. Also, it is currently 20% off with the code HOME!
The chair pairs perfectly with my new desk from Ballard Designs. While I loved my previous desk, it was lacking storage, so that was one of the main features I sought when shopping for desks. This one checks that box with it’s detachable filing cabinet, which you can push right or left of center, or use it separately! The desk is the prettiest shade of warm white.
I kept all of the remaining decor the same, as I don’t know that I’ll ever grow tired of the framed photos I took of downtown Charleston, and the watercolor illustration of Beau and I by one of my favorite artists, Riley Sheehey.
I had considered swapping out this rug and adding shiplap to this space, but I’m holding off on those updates for now, as I’m pretty happy with everything as-is!
A desk isn’t complete without a few accessories. Here are a few pieces I used to decorate!
Not related to my office space, but my dress is by Wiggy Kit. I lucked out and purchased it on sale for around 70% off a month or so ago! It is still available, but at full price, which is a bit of an investment. However, their pieces are all so beautiful and timeless, and I plan to have this one in my closet forever.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read!
