Summer to Fall Style

Yes, it’s still July, but that doesn’t mean I’m not already thinking ahead to autumn and what I want to be wearing as the seasons change. Dressing for early fall can be tricky when you live in a climate where the weather doesn’t quite match the calendar. Charleston’s summer typically lasts until early October, but I always begin dreaming of cooler weather styles right about this time of year.

The other day, I was talking to my mom about our “back to school” shopping trips we used to take when we were younger and how much I missed them. Of course, getting new school supplies was always very exciting, but my favorite part was getting new clothing and shoes to start the school year off fresh. Even though autumn falls towards the end of the calendar year, there’s something about fall that just feels like a fresh start, and getting a few new staples to wear into the new season still feels exciting to me.
