Fourth of July Outfit Ideas from Duffield Lane

It’s hard to believe that the 4th of July holiday is already here! I can’t decide if this year has flown by or if it’s crawled by at a snails pace… the past few months seem to feel like a bit of a blur!

I do know that I am looking so forward to spending time with my family in Murrells Inlet (while social distancing, of course) during the upcoming holiday. Since it is quickly approaching, I’m thinking ahead and pulling together outfit ideas to pack with me!

Our time in Murrells Inlet is mostly spent relaxing by the water and cooking out. I usually bring casual pieces that are festive for the holiday, and gravitate towards clothing with lightweight fabric because of the heat this time of year. I found several pieces that meet all of my criteria from Duffield Lane, and am sharing two of those looks below!

Look 1: Lucy Dress in Red Geo

Red is not usually a color I gravitate toward, but I couldn’t love this dress more! For starters, it is made of a Peruvian knit fabric, which is the perfect fabric for the summer heat (it is extremely lightweight). I love the relaxed fit of this dress and the midi length. It comes in a blue striped version, as well! I love that you could easily wear this over a swimsuit with sandals, or pair it with wedges to dress it up a bit.

Look 2: Maggie Top in Navy

top (c/o) | jeans | sandals (c/o)

There is no item I wear or love more than my white jeans in the summer! When paired with a fun top, it is an easy, classic look that works well for so many occasions. The Maggie top caught my eye immediately, and I knew it would be perfect to wear for the holiday (and the rest of the summer!) with white jeans. How cute are the pom pom details?

I hope you love these pieces as much as I do! I’m sharing a few others that I love from Duffield Lane below. Have a great week! 🙂
