A Bright + Festive Fall Tablescape

Hello, holiday entertaining season! I’m kicking off the festive season with a bright and happy autumn-inspired table that is not your average fall tablescape. There is nothing boring about Furbish Studio’s table linens and home decor, and this table is a true testament to that. I had so much fun putting this table setting together, as it is outside of my normal comfort-zone palette of blues and greens.

I recently took stock of both my closet and also my tableware and realized I was missing color in these departments, so instead of dipping my toes, I dove right in! I think these linens are such a fun spin on traditional autumn colors. They’re rich and warm, but also bold and unexpected, so it makes for a very unique and memorable look!

Halloween, in particular, is a time you can really have fun with decorating and not make things so serious, and this tablescape felt like exactly that. The jack-o-lantern appetizer plates (on sale!) and the mini pumpkins were all I needed to give this table a non-traditional Halloween spin without it feeling too “theme-y”. While these linens made for a perfect backdrop for a Halloween table, they could truly be used for many occasions when the gathering calls for something cheerful and memorable! I think they would especially be perfect for a girl’s night (think book club or a game night), or a birthday party.

Furbish Studio has a huge range of linens that can be mixed and matched, so if you’re setting a pretty table any time soon do not miss their website! I am extremely impressed with the quality of these pieces considering the price point. It’s hard to find high quality linens for under $100 and these pieces really beat out others I’ve seen and come in under that! Half the fun is browsing and mixing and matching. There are aprons, cocktail napkins, oven mitts, and more to coordinate with your table linens – how fun!

They also just released their holiday collection, and I’m already eyeing a few of their happy pieces for to use for the holiday season!

Ok, let’s talk about the flowers. My favorite part of any table design is picking up flowers for an arrangement. TJs did not disappoint and I left with a big bucket of flowers that were perfect for this bowl arrangement and they didn’t break the bank. (Pro tip: carnations are so lovely and reasonably priced!). I love a low-profile arrangement for a table setting because it doesn’t block out fellow diners across the table, making conversation easier, and the bowl vessel always makes for an impressive and unique presentation. The key is using a floral foam block to anchor the flowers in place.

I hope this inspires you to have a bit of fun with your next table setting!
