At-Home Spa Facial Routine

Prior to Covid, one of my favorite ways to treat myself was to get a spa facial! I didn’t get them frequently (only once or twice a year), but they are my favorite way to relax and I always feel amazing afterward.

I really missed getting facials, so I decided to invest in a few products that I could use to do my own at-home facials. I am going to share those below, and also the steps I take when doing an at-home facial!

*I think it goes without saying that I am not a skin-care professional, and these are just the products that work for me and that I love. I would recommend researching any product prior to using it on your own skin!*

Step One: Wash face. I use the Derma-E Anti-Wrinkle gel facial cleanser (I purchase this at Whole Foods). My skin always feels very clean after using it, but not dry.

Step Two: Exfoliate. I’ve been using this Eminence Strawberry Rhubarb exfoliant weekly for about a year now and love it. It leaves my skin feeling very soft and smooth – it’s a game changer! I love the Eminence line of products because they are made with organic ingredients.

I also love Leahlani Skincare’s Honey Love Microdermabrasion Exfoliator! This one leaves your skin feeling amazing!

Step Three: Steam. One of my favorites purchases has been this Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare facial steamer. This product is amazing – it feels just like the steamer you would find in a spa. Use this steamer for several minutes before going to the next step.

Step Four: Microneedling. The Glo Pro Dermal Roller is an investment, but worth it! This award-winning product rivals what you’d find at a dermatologists office. Some of the benefits of using it include firmer skin, tighter pores, and a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles. While my steamer is on, I use this on my face for about 60 seconds. You can really feel it working as you’re using it!

Step Five: Apply a hydrating mask. After steaming and using the GloPro Derma Roller, I apply a mask. I love Leahlani’s Meli Glow mask (especially in the cooler months). It is super hydrating and leaves your skin feeling glowy! Raw honey is one of the main ingredients in this mask. Another favorite is Leahlani’s Mermaid Mask . This one is like a superfood smoothie for your skin! It purifies and refreshes your skin, and has so many amazing organic ingredients!

Step 6: Use warm, wet towel to remove mask. Now it really feels like a spa! 🙂

Step 7: Apply a serum. By this step, your skin is in the perfect condition to apply a serum to make the most of it’s effects. I have been using the Perricone MD line for a year or so, and love it. I typically use their Cold Plasma serum as part of my nighttime skin routine.

Step 8: Apply eye cream. I love the Perricone MD line and their Cold Plasma eye cream.

Step 9: Apply moisturizer. Continuing with the Perricone MD product line, I am currently using their Face Finishing & Firming Moisturizer. I also want to try their Hyaluronic Intensive Moisturizer.

Step 10: Exfoliate lips and apply lip balm. This may be my favorite step! My lips are always chapped, so they feel so much better after doing this. Start by using a lip scrub, like this one. Apply a lip balm.

I did this entire routine tonight, and it felt SO nice! Having an at home spa night is such a great way to unwind and it feels good to know that you’re doing something to help your skin. I’m linking mostly all of the products in order of how I used them below:
