Happy Wednesday!
I’ve been wanting to share details about the guest room in my home for a while now, but have been waiting until it was finished! Well, it’s still not finished (I’m not sure I’ll ever feel like any space in my home is) but I thought I’d go ahead and share!
For some reason, I was more excited to decorate my guest room than the owner’s suite in my home! I feel like a guest room is a space you can have a bit of fun in when it comes to decor. I was so excited to make this room feel inviting and cozy, with a coastal vibe.
Blue is my favorite color, and I knew I wanted to incorporate multiple hues of it into this room. Most of the bedding, such as the duvet and shams, are from Ballard Designs (and currently on sale!). I usually shy away from using prints of this scale in my home, but I ended up loving how it turned out! The headboard was a great floor sample find from our local Arhaus store.
The antique side table is one I’ve had in every apartment or home I’ve lived in since graduating college, as it was something my parents had in their previous home. I love the contrast of the dark wood against the lighter palette of the room.
The paint color is “Lullaby” by Sherwin Williams. When my mom saw the room after it was painted, she laughed that it was almost the same color I chose for my childhood bedroom years ago! The paint color, in my opinion, is even more beautiful in person. It is such a calming and fresh color and really pops against the bright white trim.
What room in your home was your favorite to decorate? Would love to hear!
