My Mom, sister-in-law, and I had such a fun time planning my sister’s bridal shower, which we hosted this past Sunday at my Mom’s house in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. I thought it would be fun to share with you some pictures from the party, as it turned out to be such a beautiful event!
Planning a party is never easy, and there were many more details than I originally imagined that went into planning the shower. I have to give my mom most of the credit for the planning, and in particular, the decor. Each space was beautifully decorated with floral arrangements consisting of flowers in our theme colors – white, pale pink, and pale yellow.
For beverages, we served rosé, mimosas, sweet tea, and mint and berry-infused water. We had Inlet Affairs put together appetizers, which included boiled-peanut hummus with cajun chips, fruit skewers, and my favorite – deviled eggs. I unfortunately did not take any photos but they were delicious!
We enjoyed playing several games during our “cocktail hour”, including “Pin The Veil on the Bride” (a hit!) and a bridal “Ring Toss” game.
Inlet Affairs also put together a light, easy-to-eat lunch, which consisted of spinach and berry salad shooters, chicken salad in cups, cucumber sandwiches, and assorted pinwheel sandwiches. If you are looking for a caterer in the Murrells Inlet or Myrtle Beach areas, they do a wonderful job!
For dessert, we had cupcakes from Wildflour Desserts! They were the most beautiful cupcakes I’ve ever seen (and, the best tasting!). The pink-frosted cupcakes were lemon-raspberry flavored – I am still dreaming about them.
The rosé minis were party favors, along with frosted sugar cookies (also from Wildflour Bakery) for my nieces.
Overall, it was a perfect afternoon and a wonderful way to celebrate the bride-to-be!
