My mom spent the weekend with us and I couldn’t have been happier! On Saturday, we found ourselves near Kiawah and, despite a little bit of rain, decided to pop into The Dunlin Auberge resort at Kiawah River. I’m so glad we did! This special little spot is oozing with coastal charm, and set upon the most serene and peaceful spot on the Kiawah River.
With interiors designed by Amanda Lindroth, I already knew the resort was going to be stunning, but it was truly even more beautiful and charming in person. Amanda Lindroth really has a knack for designing whimsical interiors that instantly make you feel at home but in a chic, fresh, and imaginative way. The beautiful celadon green and muted turquoise blues she used throughout many of the spaces only enhanced the natural beauty of the setting along the river, and, as expected, the spaces were all very Insta-worthy. We were only on the property for about 5 minutes when my mom and I both began plotting a mother-daughter weekend!
The property has a way of instantly making you feel both relaxed and inspired, and we truly cannot wait to come back. The boutique resort features 72 cottage-inspired rooms, a beautiful restaurant, a spa (the Aster), along with a pool and fitness facility. All of the individual venues are in close proximity to one another, seamlessly connected by tranquil outdoor spaces to take advantage of the gorgeous location. I haven’t seen any of the guest rooms on the property in person, but from the photos, they look as beautifully decorated as the remainder of the resort’s interiors.
As we were grabbing a coffee from the cafe, we were so excited to see that the stunning Alice of the Mrs. Alice brand was there shooting her newest tableware collection (the first shot on US soil) and happily took in a peek at the behind-the-scenes of the photoshoot. I was fortunate to meet Alice on her most recent visit to Charleston a couple of months ago, and it was so lovely getting to chat with her again, along with her mother, Serena, while we were at the Dunlin. If you are not familiar with the Mrs. Alice brand, you must check out her beautiful range of tabletop and tablewares. Her brand is like no other – she offers everything you could possibly need to create the most stunning tablescapes for any occasion (just take one peek at her Instagram and you’ll see what I mean!). I have collected a handful of pieces over the years from her brand, all of which are truly favorites, and I’m excited to see her newest launch.
I wore a beautiful new dress I just got in from Ophelia and Indigo. The soft white cotton fabric has the most beautiful but subtle details. It’s an easy-to-wear style that would be very versatile for so many summer occasions!
I’m already looking forward to my next trip back to The Dunlin! I can’t wait to pack an overnight bag next time.

I had the best time!!!!! This charming spot filled me with such happiness! The coastal breezes, sprinkle of rain, and beautiful marshes was so serene!. Add that with the magic of celebrating Mother’s Day, I could not take the smile from my face! Thanks, Alexandra for the wonderful time.
