New Dresses for Autumn

Happy October! The month of October is one I always look forward to. The promise of cooler temperatures, the crispness to the air, and all of the fun activities and traditions that this month brings makes it a favorite for me. It’s a kickoff to the holiday season, which always seems to fly by, and so I’m trying to soak in each moment as much as possible.

Having a little one during the holiday months makes everything feel extra special, in my opinion. Even something as simple as picking out a few mini pumpkins from the store feels so much more exciting with my little guy in tow. It’s so much fun making things feel a little special during this season, and I love the idea of having some traditions for the fall holidays. I purchased this adorable little pottery ghost trio and I’m excited to pull this out each year. Another favorite activity as of late is going to Barnes and Noble to pick out a Halloween book! We now already have a great collection of books for the holiday that we’ll bring out each year around this time… so much fun! Next up, we’re heading to the pumpkin patch. We visited last year but Walker was really too young to understand it. I think he is going to love it this year!

Another thing I have been very excited about is fall fashion. It’s still warm here in Charleston so I haven’t been able to fully embrace fall style, but I’m overwhelmed with all of the cute things I’ve seen lately and I seriously want them all (ha!). From ballet flats, to denim, to dresses in autumnal hues, there are some great pieces available if you’re in the market for these items. I’m trying to be careful about only buying things my closet really needs. I recently did an audit of my closet and realized I have plenty of jeans and boots, but I’m lacking in fall tops, fall dresses, and ballet flats. I’m someone that doesn’t really enjoy a last minute “hunt” for a product I need for an occasion – I’d rather have a good closet to pull from so I am ready when the occasion arises.

On that note, in this post, you’ll see a couple of fall dresses that I recently added to my wardrobe from Livro’s new fall release that are perfect to wear now and into the cooler months ahead! The colors of these dresses are richer and bolder than I’d normally gravitate toward, but I’m really leaning into color lately so that my closet is well-rounded. I love that Livro’s pieces in this collection are all under $200. They are made of cotton, which is a huge plus in my book, as I find this is the most comfortable and easy to care for fabric out there. The autumnal hues and prints are so pretty and Livro really nails the cut of their styles so they are all super flattering.

Below, I’ve rounded up some of my favorites from this collection.

Thank you for stopping by!

Thank you so much! I will always love neutrals but it’s fun to add color, especially for autumn!
