Strolling around the streets in downtown Charleston to take in all of the Christmas decor is one of my favorite pastimes this time of year. I love bringing my camera and capturing some of the festive and merry sights! This year, having Walker in tow made it all the more fun! We brought his little push trike, braved the cobblestone streets, and had a little adventure this morning. I thought I’d share some of those snaps here! We didn’t cover as much territory as we normally do being that we had a toddler at foot, but we did spot some pretty sights, and it really put me in the holiday spirit!
Charleston is actually having winter-like temperatures, which is rare for us this time of year. I’m actually loving the excuse to bundle up in some of the new pieces I have been saving for the cool weather, like this velvet coat from Julia Amory. I believe it has sold out, but she sometimes restocks, so keep an eye on it if you like it! It’s one of those coats that really is the entire outfit, so I kept everything very simple otherwise and dressed for warmth in this closet-staple turtleneck sweater, under $100 ecru jeans, and brown suede booties.
If anyone has any tips for taking a photo with a toddler, please send them my way (lol)! I couldn’t not share these photos because they are too funny!
We had big plans to stop by The Charleston Place hotel and The Dewberry for even more holiday fun, but we were getting very close to nap time so decided to plan that for another day! I added it to my little holiday bucket list I made for things I want to do with Walker this year. The holidays are such a special time of year, and I’m excited about seeing the magic through his eyes!
