My dining room is one of my favorite corners of my home. I have an open-concept floor plan, so it’s not so much a dining ‘room’ as it is a dining ‘space’. I moved into my new home a year ago now (hard to believe!) and the pieces in my dining room were some of my first purchases. I am very happy with everything I chose and love the casual look of this space.
The dining table, chairs, and rug were purchased from Celadon, a local furniture store in Charleston that I LOVE! It’s hard not to walk through the store without wanting to purchase something (or many things!). I can’t wait until retail stores start opening back up, because it will for certain be one of my first stops. This dining table is made of teak and has a rustic appearance. I love the contrast of these parsons chairs against the table (these are their Napoli Chairs in White). I paired them with these cross-back chairs from another Charleston furniture retailer – Old Charleston Trading Company. Both styles are fairly easy to find online, however, and I’ve linked similar options below. (PS: Celadon is currently offering 30% off of their dining pieces!)
Today we picked up a fiddle leaf fig tree from Abide-A-While through their curbside pickup program! I love how it completes the space, and now I’m just crossing my fingers that I can keep it alive. They are known to be finicky and can be difficult to care for, but I’m up for the challenge. (I also picked up some great tips from Holy City Chic’s blog post on caring for fiddle leaf fig trees!). The basket it’s in was also purchased from Abide-A-While.
The chandelier is still one of my favorite pieces in my home and I think it works well with the other pieces. Now I am on the hunt for a small sideboard or bar, and some art, and then I can hopefully consider this room complete!
