In a sea of color (which I truly am embracing), I still love a good neutral, and especially chocolate brown. This top from Hill House is one of those that didn’t jump out to me when browsing online, but when I saw it in the store, I couldn’t help but notice how intricate and special it felt, and I immediately grabbed it to try on (with these satin pants). Lace isn’t something I have a ton of in my closet, but I knew this would be the kind of top that could elevate denim, or look really chic paired with all of the fun satin and taffeta pants we are seeing at the moment.
The color is notably a deep chocolate brown, which I think makes it feel especially elevated. I loved pairing it with this ecru pair of Mother jeans (I constantly reach for these!) for an evening out.
At the Hill House store, I tried it on with their chocolate brown satin Beverly pant, which also came home with me! I love the idea of a monochromatic look which will leave lots of room to really play up color with accessories.
